  both reopened mind and i are now in our early 60's and it seems our conversations lately have been on putting everything up for sale and buying a rv and travel until we can't anymore.

  it has been a dream of ours for along time to see all the site's in the u.s. and canada.

  we feel we could make money as we go by selling and teaching using herbs and gardening.

  Hi Jamie how are you doing? I don't want to go to that house and live in FL. To many bad things happen there. I would sell it or rent it. I do not know yet. For the winter time we would be in the south somewhere. We lived in FL for over 40 years. That is about the last place I want to go to. I would rather explore some other state to see something new. We are just at the thinking this thing out stage right now also we would do this after we start getting our S.S. Boy has everyone given some great advice. This is what I love about this forum everyone has a diffrent viewpoints and that is what I need. I hope this finds you and your family well. Hope to someday come down to your place for a visit.   I know what you mean about gas GrreatTeacher. My idea would be only 1/2 day to 1 day of driving then set for about 1 to 2 weeks before going to your next stop. Also I am thinking about buying a used RV no more than 10 years old and redoing it inside and out. That way I feel I would have no more than about $25,000 to $30,000 in it. There is no way I could afford a $150,000 RV and then loose half it's vaule as soon as you drive it off the lot. This is the only way it could work for us. Still Totally ADD

  I don't know where to start. You all have given us alot to think about. I will add a little more information to this subject. We live in a mortgage free log home in NW PA in a valley looking at a mountian range. It truly is a million dollar view. We live out in the country. Have a large garden and chickens. My wife and I are working on starting a herbal teaching center we already have a sign up that looks like a sun flower that says "Love Your Weeds" Herblist teaching center. I have a large workshop were I do some funriture refinishing. I find old wood and furiture and people throw and and restore it and sell it. When we found our home it was one more rain storm from being torn down. I have been in construction all my life and this was exactly what we wanted. We totally gutted it and redid the whole house. New everything. I used alot of old barn wood and wood trim from 150 year old homes from around here. It is all done now. It is a very cheap house to live in. As you can see this is a very daunting idea we are thinking about. We own a place still in FL as soon as my mother passes away we can sell it. We would also have to sell this home we live in here in PA to make this all work. So should we give up the somewhat security of our home or sell everything and go on the road? We would have to sell everything to make this work. Again thanks for all the comments we will both study what you have all said. Still Totally ADD

  I know 2 of the Elders on the Ray Franz JC

  when i read coc, i was stunned that the 2 elders (theotis french & rob dibble) were on ray franz judcial committee.

  i have known these men for over 20 years having done rbc and convention work with them.

  they are still elders today which means they were in their early 30's(which is unheard of for a case of this importance to have inexperienced elders to sit on) on this committee.. without revealing myself, i have never tried(but have wanted to), ask them about their on having to judge a former gb member.. then out of the blue, about a year ago, i was mentioning how hard it is trying to get younger ones to volunteer to one of these elders, and he says"this is nothing compared to to sitting on the committee that had to disfellowship ray franz".

  Both Reopened Mind and I are now in our early 60's and it seems our conversations lately have been on putting everything up for sale and buying a RV and travel until we can't anymore. It has been a dream of ours for along time to see all the site's in the U.S. and Canada. We feel we could make money as we go by selling and teaching using herbs and gardening. We have many contacts when it comes to that. If that does not work we could do odd jobs to support us. We would only do this when we can collect S.S. I know for many this sounds crazy but as we have come to realize you only live once. Our health is good and we are both very strong for our age. Reopened Mind is a herblist and wants to see other areas of the country and study other herbs that grow in that area. For me I would love to teach others about high density gardening so everyone could have fresh food. We both love camping and the outdoors. The biggest thing that concerns us is what would happen to us when we get to old to travel? Will we have enough money for this? Would we wake up 1 year into this adventure and say "what have we done". We both have worked for ourselves for most of our life so selling ourself would not be a problem in making extra money. Also we both feel if we don't try it, it will be something we will always regret. Plus we feel we would be able to meet some of you wonderful folks out there. One big dream is to go to flippers camping get together. We are both looking at this very closely weighing the pros and the cons of this idea. This would be something that we would undertake in about 2 to 3 years. So Please we are looking for all your opinions on this matter. For we feel this would be very helpful for us. I will from this point making a update on this from time to time so all will know which direction we will be going. Thank you for all your help. Still Totally ADD

  I have told this story before. I was about 14 years of age at the time and a fellow school student ask me what the Wt. believed. It told him that the whole world was bad and god was going to kill everyone because they did not believe in the Wt. god. He listen to me and then I asked him what his church taught. He told me that god was love and that jesus loved everyone and would never hurt them. I was taken back by what he said. I had nothing else to say to him. I had no come back for what he told me. Here I am 60 years old and I still remember that conversation with him. Yes the Wt. cult does fail in 100 of ways with young people. Just one other thought when I was a kid I was told many times that children was not important. Because this was the time of the end and the only thing that was important was selling maz.   why is the kingdom hall of jehovahs witnesses perfectly suited for pedophiles and sex offenders to park their boat (bodies)?

  i live by the coastal area of one of the windiest and treacherous waters ships sail through.

  during the spanish expansion they lost their share because the captains did not realize how unforgiving the tempestuous winds and strong current was.

  Drama friday 2014 DC

  anyone seen the drama on friday ?.

  it was about a pioneer couple, when the husband, also an elder, lost his job, and borrowed money from a fellwo elder, who apparently was considered weatlthy.. the main lesson of the drama was quite ok, even though a bit overdone, touching on the issue of gossip and false assumptions.. but there were at least two subtle lessons, whitch were quite disturbing:.

  1) no matter what happens, remain pioneering.

  Maybe that is the big announcement this fall. No more Wt. and Awake will be printed. You have to down load them and print them off on your own computer, paper and ink and then go out and give them away. I could see that upsetting the older ones who don't know how to use a computer.   My Satantic Smurf Scratch n' Sniff Stickers Story (True!)

  back in the early 80s when i was around 9 or 10, my slightly-older best jw friend relished telling me all the latest scare stories she heard about the satanic smurfs popping off of wallpaper, cutting babies with sharp objects, and running through kingdom hall corridors swearing.

  wide-eyed with no critical thinking skills at.

  i listened and believed every single word.

  All the years I was in the cult they loved those demon stories. I would have nightmares as a child about demons coming to hurt me. This is some of the best mind control there is. Still Totally ADD
